The MASY group is actively seeking a Human Terrain/Cultural Analyst to provide support to the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Intelligence Community (IC) agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing specific areas of interest and assessing the cultural, social, economic, historical, and other relevant geo-political factors that support addressing critical requirements. Based on client requirements, the analyst may either be country or regionally focused in performing their responsibilities. The analyst must be able think critically and examine a wide range of issues and factors that contribute to the development of a society. We are looking for someone who can apply vision and strategic analytical principles that offer immediate solutions while mitigating the chance for recurring problems. The qualified candidate will demonstrate:

  • Currently possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Must have skills equivalent to 5-10 years experience in the analytical intelligence domain.
  • Bachelor’s degree desired. Candidates with degrees in anthropology, sociology, behavioral sciences, history and international relations are particularly encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in client-specified interest languages at 3/3 level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of IT systems such as Intelink, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Possessing strong oral and written skills to present and defend any recommendations. Candidate must be able to articulate why their recommendations are the best option

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Providing on-site analysis and support including planning, and prioritizing strategies.
  • Create professional networks that can be used for support or data in the region.
  • Provide interpretation of collected data and information such as statistics.
  • Interaction with clients is a necessary component of the job.
  • Provide expert cultural research, analysis, and intelligence analytical products.
  • Provide recommendations on how to enhance and implement newer analytic capabilities.
  • Using the data to prepare visual media such as charts and graphs and other relevant reports.
  • Prepare input regarding description of Cultural Analyst duties to support the establishment and functioning of a new analytical process.
  • Travel at government direction; attend working groups and meetings in the Washington, D.C. area and to select countries as directed by the government.
